Our Journey

Disability4Sport was born in Colchester after the 2012 London Paralympics.
Founded by Abigail Saxon and Jordan Smith with the help of The Prince’s Trust.
First local activities launched with just 5 participants.

Established weekly inclusive sports sessions for children and adults.
Started working with local schools and councils.
Gained support from families, volunteers, and grassroots athletes.

Co-founder Jordan Smith earned 17 England caps in CP Football.
Welcomed Paralympic medalist Zoe Newson as Patron.
Partnered with FA to support Para Talent Pathways.
Expanded to multiple Essex locations including Chelmsford and Braintree.
Built strong ties with schools, colleges, and SEND organisations.
Increased participation to over 200+ members.
